Reduce food waste

After a failed attempt at growing an avocado plant from the pit of a store-bought avocado a few months ago, I pledge to try to regrow herbs from some offshoots I cut from a market-bought bunch of coriander ~~~the coriander is currently in a couple inches of water on a sunny windowsill and when roots develop (and hopefully the weather is warmer) I'll pot the stems in some soil and move them outdoors. So keen to have an ever-growing supply of fresh coriander! In doing so, i'll be reducing my carbon footprint (no food miles involved in going outside to cut some fresh coriander) and also eliminating any plastic waste that store-bought herbs are most often unnecessarily packaged in.
